Camilla Thuv (b.1978) was born and raised in Lofoten Islands of Norway. She has an education as an artist from Copenhagen, where she also today lives and works as a visual artist. She has numerous of exhibitions behind her both in Norway and in Copenhagen. Camilla Thuv works within an abstract idiom, where she draws visual inspiration from nature and the organic. She explores various printing techniques on a wide spectrum of media, such as wood and textiles in addition to paper. In the recent years, she has had a particular focus on serigraphy. In her work, Camilla Thuv examines how much and how little which is needed to satisfy the mind and the eye and how coincidence and control interplay. The compositions are created intuitively and at the same time consciously and she plays with the illusion of how we interact with the world around us and the connections we have to our surroundings.
